I've had a passion for reading and writing, as well as all things mystical and magical, from a young age. Born in the Saxon town of Guildford, South-East England in 1983, I hold a Master's Degree in History from Manchester University and still currently live in the North-West.

When I was about seven or eight, I discovered a series of kids' reading books called "Tim and the Hidden People." I spent many happy times reading about Hollow Hill, the Wild Witches, Tim's magic key and Tobias the broomstick-flying cat. The magical nature of the stories (and the brilliantly atmospheric illustrations) stayed with me.

A few years later, I got drawn into the world of Fighting Fantasy and spent countless hours rolling dice and battling with monsters as I quested through the gamebooks. If the Tim and the Hidden People books sparked an interest in fantasy, then it was the Fighting Fantasy series that hooked me on the genre.

I never managed to let go, not that I wanted to. When I reached the age of sixteen, it seemed natural for me to combine my love of fantasy/horror and my new-found interest in writing.

I've been writing, on and off, ever since.

Published Fiction:

"Musings of a Vampire" - Nocturne, issue 1.5.
"Last Train Home" - Nocturne, issue 3.5.
"The Watcher" - Flashspec Volume 2.

Until recently I was working on a novel entitled the "Ashes of Autumn" and had reached 70,000 words before the project was put on hold due to a number of issues with the plot and characters. I have plans to merge this novel with an older idea that I've worked on before, and of course will chronicle my progress in my livejournal once work gets underway again. For the moment, I'm concentrating on short stories.
